WOW!! I’ve finally gotten through my first run through Royal Hartigan’s book and watched the whole DVD. If there is a Dali Lama among drummers, Murray found him in Royal Hartigan. What a peaceful presence at the kit! His materials and system are very helpful to anyone wanting to improve their 4 limb intuition on the drum set. Tapspace has done an awesome job at packaging this method too. It is a steal at $40!

This package is the creation of Jim Casella, one of the most respected leaders in the drumline community, so you know that the product is going to be first-rate...This package is complete with all the bells and whistles that make the special sounds and playing techniques of the drumline such an exciting sonic exploration. Did they leave anything out? I don't think so...This is an outstanding tool for anyone who writes or arranges music for drumline at any level – high school, college, or championship competitions.

If you are familiar with the high quality of rudimental music that is available from Tapspace, then "The Blue Book" collection is no surprise as it is excellent writing by some of the finest players and teachers. I congratulate Jim Campbell for his fine work as editor and as the teacher of these contributors. This book is a testament to the continued excellence of the University of Kentucky program and a tribute to its fine Professor of Percussion.

I would like to thank Danny Raymond and Tapspace for the release of Let It Rip. I know it's a few years old now, but this is the perfect tutorial for learning and expanding your vocabulary for drumming. Danny has presented here a flawless display of technique and compositions for snare drum. I am actually working on my second copy of the disc! The pdfs are easy to follow. What I like most about this dvd is this... Danny has shown the viewer here that you can have the speed and the visual side of things happening, but the articulation in which he plays, nobody does it better! I've said before that Danny has the best hands in the business. I hope to catch more of Danny's drumming in the future in any format available.

I've been playing percussion now for 21 years. I took over a program in disarray, especially in the percussion section. I recently purchased the "Five Minute Drill" book from Ralph Hicks & Eric Rath, and have found it to be engaging, fun, and educational. Tapspace is a wonderful purveyor of percussion literature, and I recommend anyone and EVERYONE to purchase this book, from the beginning percussionist to the seasoned veteran, because the presentation and playability will prepare your percussionists for just about everything they may see. Don't forget to pick up a copy of "Beyond Basic Percussion" to supplement the learning they will get out of "Five Minute Drill."

Tapspace percussion ensembles offer the opportunity to play music at all levels for all percussionists. The quality of the writing is some of the best I have seen in my 25 years of teaching. It challenges every player in the ensemble from the triangle to the marimba. It challenges each player to perform showing good techniques and skills in all areas of percussion.
