Enough! by Chris Clark was originally a work for concert band that has now been adapted for percussion ensemble. Written in response to the angst that many students feel in school today, the piece is designed to be a musical release of that stress.
Rhythmic interplay occurs frequently between the two mallet lines that provide the melodic material, while the timpanist and unpitched percussion players will have a nice challenge in listening and balancing with the ensemble. The students will enjoy rehearsing and performing this achievable but rather aggressive work.
The composer wishes to acknowledge friend and colleague Adam Ginsburg for his editorial help on the percussion ensemble adaptation.
