DAILY DRILL (Percussion)
Description
From the minds behind the popular Five Minute Drill and Nine Minute Drill warm-up routines for percussion comes DAILY DRILL — a collection of fundamental exercises for full band with wild-yet-groovy play-along tracks. Replace the "click-click-click" of a metronome with actual music composed in styles ranging from funk to mambo to dub step … and beyond!
Designed to supplement traditional band methods in the classroom — or for use during sectional rehearsals or private instruction — DAILY DRILL provides a fun alternative to running wind drills the old-fashioned (boring) way.
- Eight diatonic exercises in all twelve keys to cover important scale and arpeggio fundamentals
- Chromatic exercises in B-flat and F
- All exercises include:
- Two- and four-mallet keyboard parts (with intuitive technique graphics to aid in four-mallet development)
- Three parts for practice pad (levels one, two, and three)
- Seven percussion accessory parts (suspended cymbal, bass drum, crash cymbals, triangle, tambourine, castanets, and woodblock or cowbell)
- Downloadable play-along tracks to all exercises in a fun variety of styles and tempos (tracks with and without the melody included)
- Scale appendices
- Downloadable PDF chart for tracking progress
DAILY DRILL (Percussion) ships as a 9” x 12” spiral-bound book and includes downloadable audio play-along tracks in high-quality M4A format and a printable PDF data tracking chart.
